O'Brien Towers
Completed in 1971, O'Brien Towers is an 8 story elevatored building located at 73 Bicknell Street in the Germantown Section of Quincy. The property consists of 274 one bedroom units, ten of which are wheelchair accessible. Rent is set at 30% of income, and includes all utilities. The Modernization Department is in the process of demolishing the brick facade over windows and sliders that were identified as having significant water leaks. The window and slider replacement has been ongoing for the past three years and will continue until all windows and sliders are replaced. We will be using additional grant monies which have been awarded to the Authority through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to accelerate this project.
